sorry I'm new and couldn't find a better place to post this

Hi

If I came to study in the US as an international student from the UK, I would be on a student visa, right?

Does anyone know what rights we have in comparison to a normal citizen?

I ask because if I major in entrepreneurship, hopefully at wharton if I'm lucky, would I be able to take part in student run companies and things like that?

My first instinct was that as an international on a student visa, ownership/part-ownership of any business, even if its a student one, would not be allowed, so I would miss out on these sorts of opportunities. Is that correct?

I do not know the answer-I am guessing--if you had a student run business as part of your class project, then the school has worked out the necessary requirements of an international student on a student visa. It is a question that could probably best be answered in an email to the admissions office, or your schools guidance counselor. Good Luck!
