sorry to bother, but what are my chances

Hey,

Could anyone comment on my chances at Dartmouth?

Here is my info:

SAT: 1440/2130 (690 (writing), 700 (Math), 740 (Critical Reading))
ACT: 31
SAT II's: 690 (Literature), 730 (Math I), 790 (US History)

AP scores: 5 on US History, 3 on Biology (more to come this year)

GPA: 3.973 uw (top 5% in a small and very competitive catholic school)
Took almost all of the hardest classes possible. School offers only 8 ap's. I took 5, but was prevented from taking more this year by scheduling constraints that forced me to choose one out of a group of three.

Essays: Good (used an experience backpacking to show personality)
Teacher recs: very good
Counselor rec: very good

EC's:

(Did a very large eagle project (took over 700 hours of work), of which a report was sent in)

Order of the Arrow (honor society in Scouting); Vice-Chief (11), Secretary/Treasurer (12), (9-12)

Cross Country; Team co-captain (12), (9-12)

St. Pius X Parish; Lector (11-12), Mass server (9-12), Parish Council Member (12), youth group leader (11-12), frequent volunteer (well over 100 volunteer hours put in here during high school), (9-12)

Band; Section leader (12), played in pit orchestra for musicals, in jazz band (11-12), (9-12)

Political action club; co-founder (11), president (12), (11-12)

Lots of total volunteer hours put in during high school (well over 300, divided mainly between church, local library, and local nature center).

Boy Scout camp counselor (10)

Customer Service Representative at Macy's (12)

Wisconsin Badger Boys State participant

National Merit Commended Student
National Honor Society Member
German Honor Society Member

Hook: my older bro will be graduating from dartmouth this june and has done quite well (his stats were, on average, a little bit higher than mine when he applied).

Weaknesses: Caucasian Catholic male from Wisconsin

Wow, I know you must be feeling some agnst right now especially as people are writing about getting likely letters. However, it makes no sense to chance you as your application is already in and there is really nothing left to do but sit and wait.

I know that this may be easier said than done but all you can do is let the process play itself out as you will (you already know that dartmouth likes sbilings, but no one, especially a set of internet stangers can adequately abswer your question). You're going to soon out one way or the other if Dartmouth is for you.

Until then, just try to hang in there a little while longer.

good luck
