Yeah, I agree about the Nocturne...I made a tape for the bb minor one today and it came out perfectly after a couple takes...then I went home and realized that the way my teacher and I have been playing it is slightly different than the original manuscript. D'oh!

I don't know if I should try it again with the score in front of me or not because I doubt another one is going to come out quite as good as this one.

I don't know about nocturnes, I don't play them lol, but shouldn't you have moved on to Waldstein and Appassionata by senior year? And isn't the Bruch concerto fiery and passionate? I wouldn't classify it as technical - that would be more like wienawski (or however you spell it) scherzo-tarantelle.

By the way, I love the idea of turning this into a piano thread (lol sorry OP) in the YALE forum. It doesn't get much better than that.

I know the Bruch concerto isn't the most technical, but it is compared to piano nocturnes :-P. And a lot of the development is technical anyways.

And for piano I've almost always stayed away from Beethoven because I simply always preferred Mozart and Chopin for some reason, although I am playing the Pathetique this year.

Um...I have an f minor one that I played last year but I haven't tried it in months.

Sorry to bombard you guys with questions, but I figure it's better than making a new thread. I sent a request for the College Board to send in my SAT I and II scores yesterday and they said it'd take 3-5 weeks...is that going to be too late for Early Action? Should I send in a rush delivery order?
