<p>ppl TOT i was wondering if the acceptance letter is by mail or email.. cuz i emailed nyu twice both time they told me is by mail ( i told them i am an international student - Canada) btw i applied to tisch ed and they told me this : </p>

<p>but they told this other person that = _ = international students will get an email notification + _ + errr >o< this is driving me insane cant take it anymore :S cant sleep... checking the ed fb groups doesn't help either... 0-0 and i have to start on other college apps for RD sigh :( i really wish i get to know this week so then i dont have to write all those essays ~!! when i get in that is of course... </p>

<p>I was wondering the same… I went to get the mail today and went through the entire pile out in the freezing cold because I was so anxious… people were looking at me like I was crazy… no way I’m sleeping tonight. Won’t relax until i find out…</p>
<p>:( agreeing with u ^~^ like everyday when i see a UPS truck all i think is * oh!~~ maybe is that mail man or sometimes mail women GONA DELIVER my acceptance letter !!~!! here it comes… i better rush home and guard the mail box* and then when i go home and check fb ed group 14 or this site and read ppl got accepted to NYU–> i get soo nervous and then i try to watch a movie but then in the end i just ended up checking NYU forum site to see if they posted anyth new… man… i think i am going nuts O.O!!~!!! ( soo many school tests and projects too ~! and i check my iphone - gmail eveytime i open my phone:( cuz some ppl said it is by email :(</p>

I’m back on CC after my son and I experienced a lot of stress at just this point in the ED process for Tisch (Film/TV) last year. I figure it would be nice if I can save someone else from any of the angst he felt at this time. If I remember correctly, some international students heard from UPS first and others by email. I think many if not most internationals heard before applicants within the US because NYU mailed decision to domestics via USPS. My son’s acceptance letter (which came in the large packet like the other schools at NYU) was dated December 10, but he didn’t receive it until the 15th.
Last years the rumors were just like this year. In hindsight, I think only the LSP acceptances went out earlier then the 2nd week of December. Try to hang in there and not listen to a lot of the rumors. By the time my son heard, he had really worked himself up (as had I.) Unfortunately, there’s no magic to this- you hear when you hear and there is no way to account for how long the decision will take to get to you once it’s in the mail. Also, my son’s NYU Net ID did not activate until after he accepted so if you hear that’s a way to tell if you’re accepted, don’t sweat it if it doesn’t work for you. Good luck!</p>
