SOS. Max Pell + TAP WIthheld, full time-part time-confused

for verification. I recently transferred to hunter and have been requested for a financial dependency verification. Im 23, and at my last school (BMCC) I was considered an independent student because I was a foster child when I was despite currently living with my biological mother… (Who btw does not claim me for anything)
I have 60 crs. and have already declared my major (Studio Art 42 crs.)
At the moment I am registered for 12 credits and I still haven’t received any refund or financial assistance, so I’m pretty much just floating here. I was told that I would receive it after 4 wks of processing the ppw (if I was even eligible for the maximum pell and/or tap which is what I usually get) However, I feel as though I have bitten off more than I can chew and I would like to drop a course. Art History to be exact, (3 crs.) But I am worried about the potential repercussions of doing so. I would prefer not withdraw and lose TAP next semester (if I’m even eligible for it anymore) and I would like to apply for part time tap, but I’m afraid of dropping the art history class because it’s the only course in my schedule geared towards my major this semester and I’m not sure how that would affect my fin-aid in addition to all this other stuff.
-I’m taking and Art History class, a Psych Class (which fulfills my gender and Diversity requirement) French (as a language requirement and a Philosophy Class on aesthetics (which I guess might be an elective…? but it might be writing intensive …I hope) another thing I’m curious about is, on CUNY First it says:

Drop - Retain Record:
02/18/2014
A class dropped on or before this date will be retained on your academic record with a status of dropped.

Withdraw without Penalty:
02/18/2014
Classes within a session, withdrawn on or before this date will not appear on your transcript.

Please help, I’ll be going in tomorrow to speak with Financial aid and an advisor but tomorrows also the deadline for a 75% refund if you drop so. Ya know, time is of the essence. Thanks in advance.
