Sound Strategy?

So I took the subject tests 3 weeks after everyone else and finally got my scores!

Chem - 740
Math II - 780

I'm not really disappointed, but I feel like I could've done better in chem. I remember feeling rushed during the test because of poor time management. Not to mention that the extra 3 weeks probably hurt me. Mainly because I lost motivation to study once summer took over. Anyways, enough with the excuses. I plan on taking the SAT I in October for the second time. And then I plan on taking Chemistry and a 3rd subject test in November. I'm relying on the hope that I'll get what I want in October(2200+) so that I won't have to take the SAT I's a third time. Thus, opening up November for Subject Tests. I'm aiming, not necessarily for Ivy League, but for top schools like Rensselaer Polytech, Tufts etc. So my questions to you are these:

Does my plan sound good?

Is it worth it to retake Chem?

Is it worth it to take a third subject test?

Is it more important that I get a good score on the SAT I?

Ahem. Don’t make me repost this in a more active subsection. I’m warning you.

kind of

not really

possibly for top schools, but not really

i would say so

In your number order:
Assuming you’re going to be a senior, yes
Not really
Not really
Definitely (Don’t keep retaking if you’re just twenty points shy of your goal though…it’d just be a waste since you could use the time on a strong college app with good essays)

Just to clarify, I will be a senior next year. And also, I got a 2090 on my first attempt. Obviously the higher I get, the better and from what you guys are telling me, my subject tests are fine. So even if I got my goal of 2200 the second try, shouldn’t I keep pushing for something better?
