Thank you.

Do you need financial aid?

No Financial Aid Required

Good chances for:

Wake Forest
Cornell
NYU Stern
Duke
Northwestern
U Chicago (although your essay will tell the whole tale…)
U Michigan
Georgetown
Grinnell

Need fin aid? May make a big difference. Assuming yes:

Williams - No
Bowdoin - Maybe
Swarthmore - No
Wake Forest - Good Chance
Brown - No
Columbia - Absolutely Not
Dartmouth - No
Cornell - No
Penn Wharton - Absolutely Not
NYU Stern - No
Duke - Absolutely Not
Northwestern - Slight Chance
U Chicago - Maybe
U Michigan - Good Chance
Georgetown - Maybe
Grinnell - Good Chance

The problem is that there are plenty of more qualified applicants to these schools WITHIN the US. Why should the top schools accept an intl over those individuals (especially if you need aid)?

I DON’T NEED FINANCIAL AID…I’ve said that twice!!!

Plus don’t colleges need international students for campus diversity…each of the named universities have a 10-17& international student quota that they need to fill every year.

My bad about the fin aid. Here’s a repost using reach/match/safety system:

Williams - Low Reach
Bowdoin - Match
Swarthmore - Low Reach
Wake Forest - Low Match
Brown - Low Reach
Columbia - Reach
Dartmouth - Low Reach
Cornell - High Match
Penn Wharton - High Reach (b/c Penn is GPA-crazed)
NYU Stern - Low Reach
Duke - Reach
Northwestern - High Match/Low Reach
U Chicago - High Match/Low Reach
U Michigan - Match
Georgetown - Match/High Match
Grinnell - Safety

High Reach: Normal % Chance of the University (e.g. 10% in Columbia’s case)
Reach: Anywhere from 25-35% chance
Low Reach: 40-50% chance
High Match: 50-60% chance
Match: 65-75% chance
Low Match: 80-90% chance
Safety: In

Good luck.

u’ve excellent chances for all of them.
