I realize this is probably the stupidest and most mundane question in the entire world...but why does Princeton specifically say to not double space your additional essay? Should it be one and half spaced or single?

Wow I realized how dumb this is right now...sorry

Spacing will not matter. I made mine 1.5 spaced.

Mine was 1.15 spaced. :P

I’m guessing they just want to conserve paper, if they’re an office that prints out applications. Teachers often want students to double-space essays so that they can write comments between the lines. Admission officers aren’t going to be doing that, so they might was well encourage more concise formatting.

Mine were single spaced, but I also had to mess with margins to get them on one page
