Should I take Spanish 3 Honors? What do you learn in it? I did well in spanish II but I am not so sure I will be well prepared for Spanish III honors is it a review of spanish II? I am scared that my teacher in spanish II H is just really relaxed and its an easy A.
BTW I am taking Spanish II H which is a joke of a class.
It depends on what colleges you want to apply to and what you want to study. Many selective colleges expect their students to have taken at least four years of a foreign language in high school. Look at the requirements for the universities at which you think you may eventually want to apply to.
Spanish III will be a continuation of previous Spanish courses. You will build on the foundation of writing, speaking, and listening skills as well as vocabulary that you have developed so far.
You should definitely continue with Spanish, no matter which college you want to go to. It will look good to all of them, especially if you go on to take AP. However, if you think it’ll drop your GPA by a lot, and that’s a major concern for you, think about taking on level.
Spanish 3, at least in my school, is preterite/imperfect, por/para, commands, and the present subjunctive.
3 Honors at my daughter’s school used to be called pre-AP and has the same curriculum that @Muufeen describes. The next class is AP Spanish IV Language, followed by AP Spanish V Literature
