my classes this year are : AP Gov, AP Calc, AP Bio, AP Lit, Honors World Affairs, Honors Spanish 4. I really hate spanish class and i do not think i will be able to get a "A" like i have in past years. How much would colleges care if I were to switch Spanish to another honors class like 20th Century world history. I feel be doing so i would free more time to concentrate on my AP classes. THOUGHTS?

I think switching to another honors class is ideal. It sounds like you already have three years of language. Of course four is preferred, but it won’t kill you. Plus, not only will you not suffer a lower grade in that class, you say you’ll be able to bring up your grade in other classes. So it sounds win-win.

thank you. i agree with you . and i think i’m going to make the switch. it’s just my guidance counselor was explaining how many of the colleges im interested in (Tufts, BU, Wesleyan, Columbia) recommend 4 years of foreign language. i just dont know how important that is. especially since im taking 4 other AP courses and have took another one last year.

This is nothing that you can’t explain in an additional information section, IF you feel it is truly crucial.
