I didn't really understand the Undergraduate Bulletin...if I get a 4 on the AP but a 770 on the SAT II, will I be placed in a lower level class than if I got a 5? I'm in the FLL if it makes a difference.

Languages classes have specific placement tests you'll take, I think, that are different from just the SATII or AP scores.

hmm, i don't think that applies to me:

"In the field of languages the results of the Advanced Placement Examinations are considered together with results of SAT II scores or Georgetown placement examinations. The placement examinations are administered to new students during Orientation in the fall and are necessary if a student has not taken the SAT II..."

I took the placement exams even though I had taken both AP exams and the SATII.

Just look at the sylllabi, figure out which class is the better fit, and sign up for it. No one will stop you.

Yeah, the way I understood it from GAAP was that you could essentially place yourself wherever you wanted in language, after doing the placement stuff. They said there is a ton of movement in language classes during shopping period and that the professors just expect that.

Is there a site that shows which level you are placed into according to your SATII score and AP score for languages? (I'm in FLL)

they'll probably send a link out over the summer with your pre-registration info.
