Spanish CLEP Exam - Help! 3 months of Spanish

Hello! Has anyone taken the Spanish CLEP Exam? I have never taken Spanish in HS and have been teaching myself in the past 3 months using a tutor, a Spanish summer community course, and the REA spanish clep book that has been helping me prepare. Here are the questions I have!

  1. How hard is the listening portion and do you have any tips?
  2. How long did you study spanish for until you took the test?What is your skill on a scale from 1-10 (10 being very fluent) and what was your CLEP score
  3. Any other tips/tricks that could help me during the test.

I have to take the test in 10 days and I’m very nervous!! I only need a 50 to pass. My Spanish is surprisingly not too bad to have been learning for only 3 months but I’m still a little nervous.

The CLEP exam is shorter and probably a bit easier than the AP exam, and it is longer and a bit harder than the SAT with listening exam, but all three exams are made by the same company and there is a lot of overlap in the type of questions. So if you know anyone with the prep books for the AP and/or the SAT with listening exams (try the public library too!!), use those along with the CLEP prep book to get ready for this exam.
