Spanish Language... or Literature?

Hi! I'm a senior in high school, and I'm definitely intending to take an AP Spanish exam, self-studied. I was wondering if anyone who knows about these exams could give me some advice on which to take... or whether to take both.

Would taking both of them be worth it? I mean, disregarding the difficulty, the studying, and having to take two three hour exams. Do you know if it would actually pay off, if I would get in advanced classes in college?

And, if I only take one, which is more likely I think, which should I take? I want to major in Creative Writing and Film Production, with a minor in some form of Spanish. I took Spanish 3, skipped to Spanish 5, since my school doesn't offer APs. I have read two books by Carlos Zafon in Spanish, both more than 400 pages, and I unerstoond perfectly well. I'm not very worried about the difficulty of either. Would taking spanish lit be better for me, since i want to pursue a literary path?
