Hello; I have a quick scheduling question:
Should I next year, as a junior, take Spanish 4 Honors or AP Biology? I know that colleges like to see 4+ years of foreign language, but I would prefer to take Bio because there is a better teacher.
What is the rest of your schedule like? Would you take AP Bio instead of a different science class/in addition to another or would taking Spanish mean no science at all?
@Madeline25 I would probably be taking AP Biology with another AP Science course like AP Physics. So, I would still have 1 science.
Colleges really don’t care what you’d “prefer.” If the colleges to which you will be applying like 4+ years of a foreign language, you’d really need to have a strong case as to why you did not follow their recommendations. Preferring to double up on a science at the expense of foreign language is not a strong reason, IMO.
