Here's my SOPHMORE schedule for next year:

English 2
Global Studies 2
Biology 1
Geometry
Journalism 1
Health Science Technology 1
French 1
French 2

In middle school, my school only offered French, and I earned my credit for French 1. My middle school wasn't accademicly strong, so when I got to a new high school (my middle school offered high school, but I left), I went ahead into French 2. I was soo far behind, I decided to start over again next year. But now I'm thinking, maybe I should just take Spanish, and NOT double, and take Law Education. So my schedule would be this:

English 2
Global Studies 2
Biology 1
Geometry
Journalism 1
Health Science Technology 1
Spanish 1
Law Education

But retaking French would help my GPA, I could exempt the exam, get an 'A' probably, whereas taking Spanish I would have to learn it ALL NEW! I already know quite a bit of French. And then I have a problem with French, because should I double, or not double and take the Law Ed. class??

Please help guys!!! I need to decide by TUESDAY!

ignore your GPA for a moment
which language do YOU WANT to learn? which do you find more lyrical, more beautiful? do you want to study abroad in college? where do you want to go?
choose the language you want to learn to speak, the courses you want to take. if you are truly interested in what you are learning, you will almost guarenteed do well.

retake it so it shows that you really want to learn and get perfect at it

Amen, caffeinated. Very well said.

bump bump I also need help on doubling or not...!

If you really enjoy studying languages, then go ahead and double up. If you're not, and Law sounds like something that would be more interesting to you, then don't. Neither one is going to look substantially better to colleges, so figure out what it is that you really want to learn.

Do whatever you are interested in: don't do things solely for your GPA. Take the language that you personally like better, without regards to how bad/good it will make your GPA look.
