spanish placement exam

so to those of you who have taken it in the past...

How hard is it? How much spanish had you taken before taking it, and what level did you place into?

What in particular are the questions mostly like? Is it vocab, verbs, or comprehension? And is it all multiple choice?

I really don't feel like taking level 3 spanish here, i took spanish a year ago at my local JC for two semesters and for whatever reason it only tranferred for 2 quarters. I'm worried about how well I'd do in the level 3 class here, so i'd really like to test out. Thanks for any and all advice on this subject!!!

...bump...

I'm not positive, but it would probably be similar to the spanish cape exam.
The cape has multiple choice and listening comprehension, perhaps a written portion as well.

If you are not sure about your level of proficiency, it would be easy to fulfill this requirement by taking spanish 2 at smc for spring. just a thought.

sorry its late, but what is smc??

smc is santa monica college.
the semester started this week and they probably still have open classes.
