I just took the spanish placement test and i completely screwed up and i spent way too long on the reading and had to rush thru the last two readings and ended up being able to respond to two listening questions before my time ran out!! HELP! i really wanted to place out of Spanish and i’ve taken it for the past 5 years including AP Spanish and i know i definitely am at a high level. will i be placed in a really low level because of this? i know there recommendations but can i still try and place out completely?
I really wouldn’t stress out about it too much. I think you’ll be required to go in for a verification exam on campus during orientation to verify your performance on the online test.
Also, I think you can take language placement exams at several points during the academic year. You’ll have the opportunity to retake the test if you want to.

If you bombed the placement exam, then you have 2 choices: (a) Take the recommended Spanish course, or another Spanish course of your choosing, or (b) wait another year and retake the placement exam again next summer.
