For those who have taken it, what does it consist of? how hard is it? I was going to get it over with online now, but it says it can take up to 70 mins and it scared me off haha.

I've basically just looked over conjugations to refresh my mind...i was pretty good in spanish when i last ended (before senior year)

where do I find this spanish placement test?

Do I need to take it if I took the spanish ap test and also tested HL in IB?

Not even sure if I am going to continue my spanish studies, but if I need to take a test, better to get it done and over while everything is still fresh in my mind.

well i think they can place you by your incoming ap grade, so you don’t have to take it. if you’re in arts and sciences, you have to continue it or start a new language bc theres a requirement, i don’t know about other schools in cornell though.

Where do we take these tests, and stuff? I wanted to take a different language, but since I already know a lot of Spanish, I might take it just because. My only debate is whether or not to place out of intro spanish and challenge myself in the higher level course, or since I haven’t taken it in two years, to just take the intro class and hopefully do fairly well.

this link should help answer some of the questions

soo, what is it like?? multiple choice on vocab and reading?? how hard is it? I had 4 years of spanish in high school and got a 6 out of 7 on the IB SL exam… but after not using it for a year I hardly remember a thing : (

Took it. I had 5 years of Spanish in HS, and this test was mad hard.

If you can read paragraphs of Spanish and answer comprehension questions in spanish…you should be fine…however, I didn’t do well.

First section is sentences with fill in the bank MC style. Second section is pretty similar I think, a few sentences. Last section are comprehension MC questions based on Spanish paragraphs.

70 min time limit…HOWEVER, you can go over…but don’t. Just do the best of YOUR ability…you don’t want to get placed into a higher class if your not at that level…
