crap. I’m in the same boat. I had no idea the deadline was May 1st!!!

Now I read through all of that and it says placement tests are available a few weeks before classes start. Is this true? And does anyone know for transfers since we weren’t accepted until after May 1st if we still have the opportunity to take a placement test?

testing will occur the first few weeks…in the meantime you will probably be put in a course depending on the # of years you took the language in high school…

2 or less is usually still intro, 3+ is intermediate i think

What if I didn’t take the language at all in high school, but am able to start at an advanced level? (not an arts&s major) Is it typical for freshmen engineers to be able to take a language first semester?

i wouldnt say it’s typical but one always see non-cas students in a language class…

i would say that language placement differs dept.
