spanish sat 2 discussion

i don’t know jorgom.

The thing is, I know i can get an 800.

I got 740 in math 2 and 760 in spanish, and I know i can get 800 on both, but i’m afraid i’ll do worse and I do know how much more of an impact a higher score will make on my app.

What do you think? did you take any other subjects? are you thinking of retaking?

Exactly. I think an 800 in Spanish is very doable for me.
Yes, I did take SAT Chemistry and scored a 600. I know it’s a low score bu Im actually surprised because I didn’t study for it. Definitely retaking chem and might retake Spanish for the 20 points…

@rokr32 What’re the odds? I got a 740 Math and 760 spanish as well! I just got back my scores from the May test today. I also got a 790 on the US test. I think I’ll retake math but not spanish…

What exactly is the curve for SAT Spanish? That being said how many questions have you have got to have gotten wrong to score a 780 or 760 without any omissions? Have you heard of any 800’s?

Curve seems harsh as I thought the test was relatively easy (I had around 25 minutes left of time during the test)

@thelastStarr I think i’m gonna retake math too. are you going to study or not?

@jorgom usually it’s -2 (omit) for an 800. I also finished with over 20 minutes of time left.

What would you guys consider the hardest section to be?

and what vocab lists did you guys memorize before the test? Princeton Review’s?

Personally I consider the reading comprehension passages to be the hardest. My advice is to do practice tests…get a good feel of the type/format of questions and test.

As far as vocabulary lists I did no studying and relied on my native background. Try to look at Spanish articles online and see how well you understand them.
