Spanish-speaking thread

How many of you come from Spanish speaking countries? Which country are you from? How old are you? Are you still in high school, or already in college? If you're in high school, where are you applying for university? etc...

I am from Spain, and I'm 17 years old. I am a junior in high school, applying to universities in Eastern Canada, the Northeastern United States, and Northwestern Europe.

I am a Spanish-speaker, but I do not have a citizenship from any Spanish-speaking country. However, I apply as international transfer(from an institution in the US), and all my hopes are dedicated to WELLESLEY!!!YEAYIII!!!!And Grinnell. What universities in Norwestern Europe are you applying to?From what part of Spain are you?

I'm from Peru :D
i'm 17
I'm applying to several colleges - Princeton is my choice number 1!!! but I'll know on thursday (decision date!!) hahaha

well good luck with the whole college process! enjoy it :D

that's cool, are you from Lima?

yeah I from Lima!! so have u visited Peru before?

no, my best friend is from Lima, I heard a lot about this city, i hope I'll go there someday. Can I ask you a stupid question: Have you ever been to Machu Picchu?

yess I went there two years ago!!.. it's about 1 hour from Lima by air and 1 DAY by car!..
It's awesome! an incredible place! you should definitely go there! :D

What are your stats andriux? My friend from Peru last year got into Columbia, Cornell and Berkeley.

my stats? ummh I'm valedictorian 4.0 gpa, 2000 SAT I and SATs II!,

I got into Duke :D

what were ur friend's stats college2go?

Valedictorian GPA 3.9 SAT I 2280, SATII 790-770-750

I'm from Madrid btw, not the city but the suburbs.

This is where I'm applying in Europe:
England: London School of Economics and Political Science (will apply to others in England, still deciding on those)
Wales: University of Wales, Aberystwyth (strangely, this is my safety as it's not that hard to get in, but it's the one that I prefer in the UK)
Scotland: University of St Andrews (most likely University of Edinburgh as well)
France: Sciences-Po Paris 1er cycle Ib?roamericain (for info, www.iberoamerica.sciences-po.fr, really cool program for Spanish and Portuguese-speaking students)
Switzerland: Universit? de Gen?ve
Belgium: Universit? Catholique de Louvain

I think this will be it in Europe, except 2-3 more in the UK (UCAS allows up to 6 with a common application for the same price, why not take advantage of it?).
