So for AP Spanish I need to watch 2 hours of spanish programming per week. Does anyone here watch such programming; if could you guys recommend one's that hook you right in. Like I really want to watch quality Spanish telenovelas but there is simply too much variety! Any recommendations. Thank you so much!

When I watch TV in a foreign language (which I do on a near-daily basis) I don’t really care which one it is. I’ve watched a few telenovelas, but since I only see them at hotels, I don’t know what they’re called. If I were to watch one though, I’d probably check out Betty La Fea, because I used to watch that program in its American remake, until it became distasteful.

Watch the Spanish game shows on Telemundo, they are great!

If you have the cable channel “Mundo 2” ( I think that’s what it’s called?) they have this novela called "Sin Senos No Hay Para

I love spanish series (from Spain) but I warn you, they dont have the same accent as latinos (although for me its easier to understand than the Latin American one because it’s really neutral.)

Oh, and what type of programming would you like to see? Romantic stuff? Mistery, action?

(Personally, I dislike “telenovelas”. Way too cheesy)

Idk about telenovelas, but there’s this show called Jose Luis Sin Censura (Jose Luis Uncensored) and it’s basically people going on the show for help with their relationship problems. Sometimes someone cheated on someone else, etc. and it always ends with two women getting in a catfight, the woman chasing after the man, or the audience getting involved. Quite funny.

*Watch the Spanish game shows on Telemundo, they are great! *

Exactly what I was going to say.

Watch soccer games and/or news broadcasts for hi-speed espa

yeah everything that i seem to watch on univision is way too cheesy and dramatic for me to watch

SIN SENOS NO HAY PARA

I have been following “Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo.”
Its good stuff- the show deals with love (obviously) but also delves into stuff like family, gay-rights, HIV/AIDS, etc.
It comes on Univision every night at 7pm… look it up!

^
i always thought that the title of that show was hilarious.
I never actually watched it though.

I think I watch more shows on Telemundo than on english tv haha. they have some pretty dramatic soap operas and good game shows, but my favorite program? futbol! gooooooooooooool! you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it haha. The weirdest thing was watching soccer games in mexico (on tv, of course) during the swine flu epidemic. the stadiums were literally empty.

is there a website of spanish versions of american tv shows? like LOST, FRIENDS, or some shows like that?

why watch something you can see in english in spanish?

why watch those shows in english when you could watch them in spanish and get some practice out of it?

I don’t watch them in english

@ Damon1570: when I took AP spanish,I used to watch episodes of House translated. Just google it, there are many websites that have american shows in spanish.
