So I've chosen Spanish instead of Greek. I've chosen this because I want to take Spanish 5 Honors. Is there any way to self study Spanish 4 material? I don't think there is too much grammar involved ,but I'm not sure.

why would you want to self study??

Well, if you know the Spanish 1-3 stuff already, it's doable. I managed to do independent study for spanish 4 my junior year, with some occasional one-on-one help with the resident spanish 4 teacher... I did decently, except for third quarter when I got a C because I was absent and I missed too much of the material.

So, bottom line: Go for it if you know you have a strong background (but don't fool yourself here-- you'll only be hurting yourself), but if you think you'll need more than just the occasional help from a tutor or teacher, reconsider it. After all, the whole point is to learn the material, not get as many neat-o looking classes on your transcript as possible, yah. ^^

res nullius, do you take Latin because your name is Latin? Well, I'm going to go from Spanish 3 Honors to Spanish 5 Honors. Am i missing anything really important because I could just learn the stuff when we're reviewing in the begining of the year. or Should I study Spanish 4 material now and be really prepared for 5?

Would i have to take a test to enter Spanish 5?
