No list is complete. Barrons 3500 is probably the MOST complete, but not completely complete. I feel that sparknotes is the most realistic list to study from because you probably won't get around to studying more, unless you're extremely committed, and it's not so incomplete that you learn nothing.

It's probably a good list to go through. I looked it over and liked it, and started memorizing, but only got to like "bilk" or something before I forgot about it :p

nearly all the words on the OCt 14 sat were from this list.....I got all right in the sentence completion............missed only 4 on the passage and got a 750.........

Thanks for the replies. I know it's not the best list out there, but it's free, and it seems to be good. I looked over it some more, and found quite a few words I've never heard of, quite a few I heeard, but never knew the definition of, and quite a few that I thought I knew the definition of, but really didn't. I'm probably gonna end up buyinig Barron's 3500 list after I finish with Sparknotes, but I'm sure because I have an uncontrollable natural impulse to be overprepared for everything. Gets annoying sometimes, but really useful other times. Good luck, ein!

I memorized up until like d or something then I stopped because all of my teachers decided it was a good test week. It helped a bit on my test though.

There were some words in the test, but I had forgotten all of them already (as an international who has heard maybe 20 % of the list, it's tough to remember 1000 words. (ok, I started one week before the test :D )

Thus, it did not really help me, but it might help you... Just start 2 or 3 weeks before the test, then you aren't forced to learn 150 w. a day.

please don't buy the baaron book
that's the least accessible collection of vocabs ever
they take their "calculated lists" and put it on there when any list with something like most ubiquitous vocabs from past SATs apply so much better

I started memorizing some words from Sparknotes' list. It's very easy to learn the words because the examples as well as the definitions are very clear and simple.
