I just took first two tests and got a 660 and a 690. I thought I'd do better than that b/c i got a 740 last year after taking a regular class and i took APUSH this year :/ I just went over the notes for the first time this weekend & I am rrreally shocked. It's probably due to my lack of preparation but I find the curve (as well as some questions) really difficult compared to Kaplan's. Are sparknotes tests reliable? Should I keep practicing with them or use Kaplan's?

I got 690 on the sparknotes test 2 and I feel mostly prepared for the AP, though the 690 kinda made me question that.

Same as both of you! I got a 650 + 660 + 650 on the three that I have tried already and I was honestly surprised because I thought that I did muh better.

IDK if the Sparknotes tests are reliable, but now I am a bit more nervous although I am taking it in June.

And I am also in APUSH, but … my teacher is not good. Still, I thought I self-studied better than that…

I don’t think the sparknotes tests are correct…

Take the AP diagnostic test: there’s one question that says “Antifederalists called for all of the following EXCEPT”
and the answer was (e) “the writing of a new draft of the constitution”

Then on the 2nd SATII USH test, the same exact question with the same exact answers popped up.
This time the answer was something like (d) “a strong executive branch” (which is what I put the first time… )

So yea, do not use those tests or you’ll screw yourself over…

I just got 690 then 730. Has anyone already taken the USH test who used Sparknotes and can shed some light on the accuracy of these?

I took a Sparknotes test and got a 730 and when I took a previously released test I got 760, so I tend to think Sparknotes tests are a little harder.

I think the curving is harder.

:) good to know that I’m not the only one!! I guess Sparknotes tests do have some errors and a harsh curve. I think I am going to use Kaplan’s then ;] thank you for the replies!

S took two sparks ush --690 and 700. SO he’s reading his ap book from school andwe just went out to buy the CB subject test book … the CB questions look easier than Sparks… same for Bio…

They seem helpful to me, as my scores have gone up 30 or 40 points with each test.
