Hey, I'm scoring consistently well on the Sparknotes practice US History tests. On the other hand, I just took the Kaplan diagnostic test which was ALOT more difficult.

Are the Sparknotes tests closer to the real thing than the Kaplan ones are? Otherwise, I still got some serious reviewing to do...

yeah can someone answer this question?
Im curious as well cuz I just took a practice test w/o little prep and got a 600.
Also is sparknotes good in general for prepping for the exam?

never got less than 750 on sparknotes practices tests. took the real thing today and will be extremely thankful for a 700…

i didn’t take ush classes though. only read kaplan’s and sparknotes, and there was a ton of stuff i’ve never heard about on the test. i think it’d be different if you’ve taken classes at school and paid attention, but anyways, this is what happened in my case.

also be careful-there’s A LOT of reading in the real test. i always had 20+ minutes left in practice tests but almost ran out of time today, NOT from not moving on from hard questions

From my personal experience, I would say its harder. I never gotten over a 740 on the sparknotes USH test, but got an 800 on test day (back in May).

The general consensus seems to be that SparkNotes tests are generally a little harder than the real thing. I wouldn’t touch history with three pairs of gloves on, so I can’t chime in on this myself.
