Special Programs?

<p>I am applying to Cornell's undergraduate program, and I was wondering if they offered any special programs (e.g. dual/double major, travel abroad, work with a professor) within the College of Arts and Sciences. I am applying for a mathematics or statistics major, but am also considering other STEM fields. I have so far found an honors and a high honors program, but these do not seem particular to Cornell. What special educational opportunities does Cornell offer its students?</p>

<p>If by special you mean programs unique to Cornell, less so in CAS than the other colleges. But going by the examples you listed, all those are available at Cornell. CAS makes it particularly easy to double major and do study abroad. I think opportunities to work with a professor vary by department, but if you are proactive about finding those opportunities, you’ll probably find something. In addition to pursuing honors for your degree, you can probably find an academic organization that fits your interests.</p>
