Can having a pretty unique special talent helps when I apply to colleges?
I mean, there is no way I can play linkin park and Kanye West in a piano recital, so the only way I can show people what Im capable of is to post them on youtube, but do colleges even care about those stupid talent I have?
thx a lot

It would not hurt. That’s for sure. It can also show your hobbies/what you strive for besides academics.

no, they say not to post youtube links, especially yale; they will simply outright reject it, get a website and do it, they will not look at anything in facebook, youtube, or anything like that

ok but isn’t it kinda unfair if that is the only way to show ur talent?

Maybe you could submit it to a competition?

lol thx a lot I’ll try to find some

Schools don’t want youtube links, but if you can post a video to youtube, you can burn it to a DVD and send it. Each school has its own criteria for what they will or will not accept, the format, the length, etc. Check their websites or contact the admissions offices for further assistance.
