specializing in mechatronics

I'd like to be a mechanical engineer but the college i am really interested in doesn't have a ME degree. However they offer a bachelor of science in engineering with a specialization in mechatronics. The courses required and objective and outcomes are very similar to mecahnical engineering. My question is if i get this degree and go off to find a job will i be turned down because a degree in engineering specializing in mechatronics doesn't sound as good as a degree in mechanical engineering? Is it worth it to get this degree or go to a more expensive school to get a ME degree?
