Specific Colleges in New York

Well i've been looking primarily to New York for colleges
and i was wondering about Hofstra, and St.Johns, i've never really heard of it myself until someone brought it up but...are they any good in Engineering or Pharmaceutical field?

Oh yah so far heres my list for engineering, does it seem reasonable? and are there any better?(colleges in N.Y)
Fordham
Cooper Union
SUNY Buffalo

Hofstra is a really nice college in long island... but if u can get into cooper union, hofstra is a safety for u...

Fordham doesn't have an engineering program; it allows students to study engineering at Columbia SEAS.

yah getting into cooper union would be pretty sweet, not having to pay tuition. But i still like having the bigger school, with more extracurriculars (sport wise) and i'm pretty sure hofstra invested a good amount of money to make sure theres always something to do. But yah thanks guys, especially fandango, wasnt really aware that they only offered it Columbia SEAS

What about Cornell for engineering?

1st tier schools like NYU,Cornell,Colgate, and Columbia?
2nd tier like Pace, Fordham, SUNY Binghampton?

In NYC or NY state?

NYU also doesn't have an engineering program; its students earn an engineering degree at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

NYC, or somewhere thats a little more urbanized and city like

Columbia and Cooper Union are the only schools in NYC that are good for engineering. Rutgers has the best pharmacy program in the area.

As far as I know, SUNY Stony Brook is better for engineering than Hofstra or St John's (if you're interested in Long Island).

Upstate NY colleges known for engineering: RPI, RIT, Cornell, Clarkson and SUNY Buffalo. SUNY Buffalo has good programs in both engineering and pharmacy.

Might look into Rutgers-New Brunswick campus for engineering.

U Rochester is also good for engineering. Also Syracuse.
