Hello! I want to ask that should we get involved in varied types of ECs or should we concentrate on your passion and ignore diversity? And which Uni wants well-rounded students? And which ones are inclined more towards people with specific interests. Plz help.

Colleges want people who are scholars and thinkers – not drones to check off items on a list – which you seem rearing to do. The singular most important aspect of your college app will be your GPA and your transcript rigor. About 85% of US colleges don’t care anything about your ECs. It’s a myth.
But why are you asking now? Aren’t you about to apply (your post about your cricket essay)? It’s not as if you can suddenly adopt a huge and meaningful EC anyway. Stop your mercenary thinking and do what you do best and apply to a wide variety of colleges. Stop trying to fit yourself into what you think colleges want and instead find a college that will meet your needs.
