For anyone who has taken the Biology SAT II:

How much do I need to know about chemical bonds?

What about chemical makeups of molecules (carboxyl groups, amino acids, etc)? Do I need to be able to recognize chemical drawing of them?

How in depth do I need to study monosaccarides, starches, cellulose… etc? Do I need to know their properties, what groups they fall under in terms of monosaccarides, peptides, etc?

Thanks!

Just know the difference between the bonds (polar covalent, non-polar covalent, etc.)

Be able to identify carbohydrates, amino acids, DNA, etc.

You need to know the disaccharides (maltose, glucose, fructose)

I think if you read over PR’s Biology, you will do fine.
It got me a 770.

^I think that would cover it. It does not go that in depth. You will probably want to look at overall molecules like carbohydrates, proteins, etc and be able to recognize those and what kinds of bonding they have.

I think PR Biology is too long unless you are really willing to devote a lot of time to studying. I recommend Barron’s, I read it over in one day and got a 800.

anhtimmy: I thought glucose was a monosacharide
