I have one teacher writing a recommendation for a specific program I plan to apply to. I am really close to her so she doesnt mind doing the extra work. Is it okay the mention the College’s name in the rec? does this rec go to other schools I apply to or can she change it around for each school? For example… Can she write… I think Louis is good for college X because… and then… I think Louis is good for college Y because…? OR is there just on rec form sent out to all of the schools?

ok LOL i think I found the answer to my question... the common app states: "Once you have completed all applicable fields and reviewed your information, give a copy of this form to a teacher who has taught you an academic subject in high school. Be sure to provide a stamped, addressed envelope for each of your colleges which require a Teacher Evaluation."

So I am thinking that you can use which ever rec you want for which ever school by just telling teacher X to send it to school A, B, and C. and you tell teacher Z to send it to school D, E, F. Correct?

u got it correct

Don't overburden your teacher by asking for customized rec letters. It can be annoying to the writer if you plan on applying to a lot of colleges.

nah, she is writing a letter for only one school. do you think that the adcoms will not value it because its specifically for that school?
