I am Hispanic and I know I can get certain scholarships because of it...where do I look for these scholarships?also I wasn't sure if there are any scholarships if uve had a parent die of cancer

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve lost a parent to cancer. I’ve never heard of scholarships for that, but maybe check with National Cancer Society.

There is National Hispanic Recognition that is based on PSAT score. What was your PSAT?

You’re not going to get scholarships “just” for being Hispanic. You have to bring something else to the table…high stats, leadership, high GPA, etc.

Are you a senior in HS?

What state are you in?

What are your stats?

How much can your family contribute towards your education?

Take a look at the Hispanic Students subforum (under Admissions), and particularly this sticky thread:

I am a junior in high school… I take the PSAT this month. I am a two sport letter, have a 3.4 gpa and I am in the state of Arizona

my parent can also afford a good chunk of tuition we just want to get reasonable tuition to an out of state university

Shoot for NHRP, but you will need to get your gpa up to 3.5 (weighted) this year to be a scholar and have access to scholarships.
