Since the same application goes to all UC campuses I apply to, can I not specify a specific campus in my essays? So for example, instead of putting "Attending the University of California San Diego will yada yada yada", should I just put "attending university will yada yada yada"? Or is there some way to get around this and specify the right school for each respective campus?

A counselor at my school said that was a big no no if I remember right.

It kind of gives off the impression that you’re EXPECTING them to just accept you to the UC school that you want, ya know?

I think it would be best just to mention the UC system in general.

Anyone else have any insight on this?
