Speed on MathIIC

I just took a practice test out of mcgraw hill...a 780 with two multiplication mistakes (;/) so i should have gotten an 800..but nevertheless..i wanted to see how fast i could do it and i only got it done at that level in an hour and fifteen or twenty minutes...Are there any tips on how to speed up without losing points?

First I would recommend using a different book to prepare for the test. I found McGraw Hill to be a lot easier than the actual thing. I used Barrons, and it was really good albeit a lot harder than the actual test. (I did all the practice tests in Barrons, and got about 680’s to 730’s while on the real thing I got an 800.)

One main tip to get faster is just pace yourself. Don’t take too long on any one question, and if it frustrates you just skip it (Math II has a huge curve anyways.) Just focus on getting an X amount of questions(about 44-46 if you want an 800) 100% right, and it’s ok if you miss some others.
Also, it would help if you kept on doing a lot of practice tests. That will make you feel more confident, and get you used to what it will be like in the actual situation.

Ive gone through Collegeboard, Kaplan and Barrons (both of which were hard and frustrating), so im just doing Mcgraw Hill tests…it did seem around the collegeboard test, definately not noticeably different. I also did Princeton review. Are there are any other good tests around asides from like Sparknotes, which I just can’t bring myself to take with their stupid notation.
