I saw that this program run by a university near me is running a 2 day speed reading course for high school students for about $100...what do you all think? Has anyone taken a speed reading class before and found it helpful?

Thanks

The program EyeQ gave me quick results, and it's easy. It's just a bit more money, but probably a better investment of your time.

I took a free speed reading class in seventh grade. It wasn't of significant help, but it did give tips on how to read faster in general.

Heh I could always read fast :D

i didnt there was such thing as spead read program......i would think you would need this if you were naturally have a reading problem.......more for a physically challenged person

No. There are a lot of speed reading courses out there. I believe there are a couple different methods, as well. Some people find a lot of improvement and success, while others feel they lose comprehension with speed.

If you can spare the $100, why not do it?

Heh. Real skill is being able to speed read out loud.

and be comprehensible... or pulling it out of your butt quickly enough...

I was in speech therapy for a long long time, and a couple of the better ones could talk/read perfectly at really remarkable speeds.
