Spelled my name wrong and I think I qualify...??

I got my NMSQT scores back, and my name was spelled with an extra space!

For example, if my name was Jane Doe, it said "DOE, JA NE"

I guess I must have misbubbled my name on the answer document, which is terrible because I scored a 226, which is above the qualifying score in California!

Does this affect my eligibility as a National Merit Scholar?
What should I do??

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Your GC can send in a correction.

My son had some odd thing on his score sheet. He had accidentally indicated that he wasn’t a full-time student, which (at first) disqualified him. The GC called NMCorp, the GC then had to fax a correction, and then all is well.

NMCorp doesn’t want to exclude a student who rightfully qualifies. Talk to your GC tomorrow about this and ask her to call NMCorp.

Mom2collegekids is right. Have your guidance counselor call them, or email them to tell them about the correction.

Yeah, definitely talk to your counselor!
