<p>how do you think things like the scripps national spelling bee, aaa travel high school challenge, and the newly started national vocabulary championship help (besides the tons of money)?</p>

<p>i'm considering whether i should really feverishly learn vocabulary like i am now for the nvc competition...</p>

<p>Ahh, I would always advocate joining a spelling bee - it really helps. The spellings bees that I took part in as a second and third grader helped base vocabulary foundation and inspired me to learn new words. Yeah... I sorta talked about that in my college app essay.</p>
