Spelling mistake on Stanford Application

Yes i cannot believe it. I submitted my application like 30 minutes ago and i just realized that for one of the questions that asked about my favourite website i put “Freakeconomics” instead of Freakonomics". Its not that i cannot spell my favourite website, its just that I was writing about economics and I checked my major just before answering the question, so instinctively I put freak–economics. Get my point?

Should I be worried at all? Should I email Stanford just to tell them know that i have realized my mistake?
Please bear in my mind that by far I am at least a borderline applicant, so I think any fallacy could hurt my chances.

I think pointing it out is worse. They may not even notice.

I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. It’s a minor mistake.

@HRSMom what if they do notice, do you think it would be that bad ? :s

no, not at all. they want to hear your voice. they are not looking to nitpick.

You are fine. DD had a spelling error in her app and it was not a problem.

OP, do not contact Stanford about this.

Yup, baloney. Kids make typos same as anyone else. And sometimes the CA cuts off a line or whatever.

OP, you have to let it go. HRSMom is right.

Thank you everyone for clearing things up !

I had a few typos in my application and I still got in. They may not even notice themselves, so don’t notify them about it!!!
