<p>It is a bit early for the merit awards to be announced. My D’s award letter was dated March 16, 2007. The person to speak with is Arlene Weley Cash, VP for Enrollment Management; 1-800-982-2411 or 404-270-5184 since it is she who sends out the merit award letters. Just hold on for a week!<br>

<p>I just received my award package yesterday and it was nothing but loans (just like Mizo). I am praying that I get the Presidential scholarship. </p>
<p>@Mizo do you know if there are half- tuition scholarships..and what does the Presidential include? Did your D decide to go to Spelman?</p>
<p>The Presidential is Full Ride: Tuition, Room & Board and perhaps Books
The Deans Scholarship: Tuition - I think they give 10 per year
Science & Engineering - at least tuition for Chemistry, Physics and Engineering Majors</p>
<p>My D is a freshman at Yale University.</p>
<p>Don’t worry, hold one there is probably a second award package coming, that is how it happen for my D in Spring 2007.</p>
<p>Okay, i’ll let you know what happens. I called the office of Admissions and they said that the letters should arrive around the beginning of April</p>
