<p>I was wondering if anyone knew the kind of stats that the women that received this particular scholarship had? This is the one that they only give to five freshman a year, so I imagine it's pretty tough competition.</p>
<p>I know my D (GPA around 4.1 and SAT 2040) did not get any merit money at Spelman.</p>
<p>That puts me and my weighted 4.6 and 1980 in limbo, if not completely outta the race. While I'm feeling Spelman as a serious possibility like top 4 on my list of 12, the prospect of having to take out serious loans is something my parents cannot take on.</p>
<p>I feel you, but my D is just one data point. We were dissappointed, but we didn't look into it because my D didn't really want to go anyway. Also, even without aid, Spelman is a bargain. Good luck!</p>
