Which band from west point plays at the football games--especially the ending 'alma mater' is it the 'professional' band or is it the cadet spirit band?

Spirit band

m4m, what company are you in?

DOes the band go to all the out of town football games or just home ones... are plebes allowed in the band and if so, do they travel to out of town games

along with the football game topic, does anyone know anything about cheerleading at WP? i'm varsity cheer captain, and don't want to give it up if i don't have to.
also, any info on track & field teams? I'm also a varsity polevaulter. any info helps!

thanks for anything!

i think its an all male cheer squad !!!

In "Absolutely American" by David Lipsky, he says that one of the girls is a cheerleader. I think it's a club? That's how it is at the Naval Academy, I think.

The Rabble Rousers look co-ed to me...

They're coed. The majority of them are girls, with about 4-5 guys mixed in. They actually have a JV squad as well. The Spirit Band goes to the major out of town games. I'm not sure if they go to ALL of the away games or not.

I'm in A-4.

Have there been any spirit appearances by the band or rabble rousers this week before the navy game... on one site it showed some links to past years activities

Nah... They'll play tonight, though, at the Spirit Dinner.

The spirit band goes to all the football games. My roommate does spirit band and says that the priority for traveling goes to upperclass first. They also take a few different trips for the A-N game. One group leaves a day early (Thursday) and plays at the Pentagon. They also miss mandatory dinners because they play at them--which means you don't have to come up with some crazy skit for your table.

Also, the cheerleaders (Rabble Rousers) are coed. They are actually fairly evenly divided male-female. They like to do a lot of partner stunts. They are ranked nationally, however they are not NCAA. It is considered a club sport, but they take a small group to all football games.
