Spooky Stories

With Halloween right around the corner, I thought it would be interesting if we all shared some of our scariest experiences. Now I WISH i could start this thread with a spooky tale...but I've never experienced anything too frightening....but I do LOVE to hear about them, so feel free to share!

this first one is not entertaning-scary... its horrible-scary. but it was the time i was most scared to death...

one of my brothers and I are deaf (we wear hearing aids) and a few years ago (i was bout 11, he was 9) our family visited my mom's friend's family in a beach house. we were at the beach (my brother -Michael- and I cant wear our hearing aids at the beach because they'll short-circuit if the get wet). so anyway we were having fun and then we started to pack up (well my parents did, while me and michael and kenny-other brother- played). then my mom called me to put something away, and she called kenny too. then she called Michael... but he was nowhere in sight! we looked all over, we couldnt find him. it was so scary. my dad and the lifeguards were looking for him deep in the ocean, and my mom was crying. we kept calling "Michael!" but it wouldnt have helped of course, since he couldnt hear anything. my mom's friend's husband went back to the beach house (down the block) to call the police or something... and he found Michael in the outdoor shower! turns out he walked home by himself without telling anyone... everyone was so happy he was okay, but he got in so much trouble!!! (serves that bum right). so yeah, i was so afraid, i thought he died =(

another story where i was afraid.. but it was so so lame lol

ok my family and i live in NY, and when i was 7 we took a plane to Chigago for Uncle's wedding. that was all good. then on the plane ride back, i had a window seat, and i was sitting next to my mom. we were almost at the NY airport (i didnt know that) and right before the airport was a body of water. well all of a sudden i noticed that we were descending towards water! i got so upset, i thought the plane was going down, and we would drown! i pointed out of the window to my mom, and in my terror, i misinterpreted her excited nod (she thought i was pointing to the airport, which i couldnt see yet) as a homicidal maniac evil grin! i thought we were going to drown, and i thought my mom was happy about that..i got so freaked out and yelled for my dad... but then my mom asked what was wrong and i said "why are you happy that we are going to drown?!?!??!?!" and so she laughed at me and explained that the airport was after the water. ...needless to say i felt so pathetic. but seriously i was so scared... haha how sad

I watch too many scary movies, so I get scared easily. My family and I were looking for a house to buy. My parents fell in love with a huge mansion. We went inside, and the house was like the one from scary movies. It had thick, old, wooden doors, and massive, empty rooms. I looked outside, and the backyard was huge with a small water foundation and a cemetry there! I couldn't help myself but imagining that the house was haunted. I imagined that ghosts and dead people walk from the cemetry. I imagined that people were murdered in a small closet next to the kitchen. I imagined a ghost resembling a little girl playing with a doll in the attic. I imagined a guy was hanged from a chandlier in a huge family room with fireplace. Avoiding scary thoughts, I walked to the basement (a great place to go there after scary thoughts, huh?), and there was drawing on the walls but nothing there. My sister tried to scare me- she was acting like a dead girl coloring the wall. It seemed so real! I tried to convince that the house wasn't haunted. I kept thinking, "It was just a house" "It was just walls and bricks" and "I watched too many scary movies." But, I still hated the house. My parents asked my siblings and me if we should buy it. I turned my thumb down. My family went to the car and left something back in the house. My mom told me to go get it. So, I went back to the kitchen to pick something up. Suddenly, I heard whispers. I thought my sister was playing something on me again. But, everyone, even the salesman, was outside. I turned around, and there was nothing there. I thought it was just the wind or something. Then, I quickly picked something up. I heard whispers again. I freaked out and ran outside to the car. Luckily, we found a different house, and another family bought the house. A few days later, a young woman died. I don't know how she died, but I know haunted houses and ghosts don't exist..........right?

ooooooooooo freaky..haha

The young woman that died was the one that bought that house?

yes she did.
