I was wondering does it matter which spop you go to? cuz someone told me that if you go later then you can't really register for the classes that you want. My Spop is on August 2nd which is pretty late. I just wnat to register for general ed classes. but do you think that it will afffect the availability of a certin course?

no that's not true
a uci alumni told me that it doesn't matter
because everyone will all be on the same starting point
when signing up for classes
no matter which spop they sign up for

i actually registered for the classes last year at the SPOP :) so i think you better go to one of the early SPOPS
i think it changed from last yr..

just go to the earliest you can.

esp if youre honors.

don't risk getting screwed over by first come first serve like everyone did last year.

well, i was going to particpate in summe bridge which gives you early registration so I didn't sign up for SPOP but now, i am not doing the program anymore due to finanical reason. so I was trying to sign up for early spop but it said it wasn't available for undeclared major. So, the earliest i could get was August 2nd. So, is it really first come first serve ?? thats not good.

i thought you are supposed to register for classes at SPOP..

thats what i thought... which is why i chose the first one.

but its weird cuz i checked the early spops and they weren't for undeclared and some other majors. So, isn't that not fair for people who don't have the major that qualifies to sign up for the first or second spop?

yea, thats not fair

but who said the world is fair?

yeah. i guess so. oh well, whatever. i guess i can only take whatever its available. thanks for the help!
