<p>What exactly goes on during SPOP? I'm not really interested in socializing. Can I do all the academic advising, program planning and class registration and leave during the social activities?</p>

<p>SPOP is mandatory unless you submit an exemption form or something, but I think if you do that, you have a later class registration date. And yes, you can leave after the advising and class registration. My current roommate did that since she had work the next day.</p>
<p>TBH, spop was kinda useless for me aside from the registration. You can leave early, but I think you still have to pay the 100 dollars. Not sure tho. Registration was on the first day, everything after that was pretty stupid.</p>
