I am going to be a senior this coming year, and I had planned on playing football to get a second sport on my application. I realized that this was the wrong reason to play a sport, so I am not going to play now. My question is will it hurt me in admissions to just have one sport on my application, or would it make a difference if i did play football this year?

wouldnt really make much of a difference if you played the other sport for a few years and have other EC's

Yeah, ive played baseball since i was a freshman, and im involved in other things.

Commitment to baseball is good.

Yeah, I talked to a former admissions counselor, and she said that colleges liked to see commitment to a sport throughout highschool. I just didnt want to hurt myself by not playing football.

Colleges won't be too impressed by anything you pick up senior year usually.

alright, thanks for the input
