Sports and extra time?

Hi I am interested in doing crew(rowing) in college but I also want to have a social life, if I did club would I have time to participate in other things such as clubs or greek life? Thanks.

Sports, Social Club, Sleep, Grades. Pick 3(I recommend grades and sleep).

All jokes aside(that is actually not much of a joke) would you find it more satisfying to put a lack luster effort into both greek life and crew, or would you be happier being more involved in one of the two.

I personally would choose greek life, few experiences will match that, and since it doesn’t seem like you were recruited into crew, then I don’t think it’ll be like asking you to quit a sport you’ve been doing for 10 years 5+ days a week, 52 weeks out of the year.

So basically, asses the time needed for crew, and drop it, if it is too much of a commitment, and if you want to be a part of greek life.

Otherwise you’re going to sacrifice one of the above to be able to achieve in the others.

Based on people I know who do sports, whether you row for the school’s team or the club team, you would indeed have time for clubs or Greek life. Probably only time for one of those two (clubs OR Greek life) in addition to crew, though. It might be tough in terms of time, but it would most likely be doable.

If you participate in crew, you are probably going to bond a lot with your teammates and do lots of social things with them, too.
