<p>Is it possible to participate in both a sport and music ensemble during college? Would expressing an interest in both make coach/director/adcom think applicant lacks focus?</p>
<p>It depends on the time demands of each activity at the school. I doubt someone playing football for Michigan would have time to be first violinist in the orchestra, but most people can play an IM sport and do music. It depends on the school and the student. If you're interested in both, you're interested in both. Don't change your interests for an admissions officer.</p>
