My daughter is interested in majoring in sports and entertainment management or sports communication. She has narrowed her search down to Clemson, USC, JMU and Va. Tech.
Does anyone have any insight on the program at Clemson?
I can’t address the “classroom” piece, but can comment on another aspect. Clemson has one of the finest Athletic Communications operations in the NCAA. With a number of sports programs that are top notch – football, baseball, soccer, golf – and competitive programs in many other sports – your daughter will have access to potentially very valuable campus internship opportunities that will position her well for employment after graduation. As I have a son who is seeking a sports marketing job (graduated from different school), we have learned the importance of having relevant, notable experience… and having it at a well known D-1 program is the gold standard. @osaycanuc Thanks so much for the response. After our visit spring break Clemson moved to the top of her list…it was an amazing campus and her tour guide was majoring in sports communication so that was a huge plus.
